I met once like that also... I learned to call them "educated morons" .. 

do some research.. real meds studies...most docs (except the ones that are still willing to learn) don't have desire or time to read new studies and rely on old - old -old info...

I have some very specific heart issues so I will stick with my doctor's guidelines.

Processed red meat can be really bad for the heart, i.e. corned beef, salami, sausage,  etc..but regular good ol' steak or pork- not  bad..

Yep, I've been told that about processed meat too.  I choose not to eat steak or pork.  I'm probably the only person who doesn't like bacon.  It smells delicious when it's cooking, but I don't like the taste or texture in my mouth.
