Just looked it up.  I'm on nexium.

The nexium might not be working for you.  Sometimes you have to try different PPIs before you find the one that clicks.

I would suggest calling your doctor/surgeon's office and telling them what you've told us, and ask for a prescription for another type of PPI.  I hope this works for you.

If you just started 1700 calories a day diet a few weeks ago ... how many were you eating before?  Are you super tall?  Can you post what you are eating?

I am more than a year out and you are eating on average nearly 1000 calories more than me a day...

It's a miracle you aren't gaining on 1700 calories a day.

If you are eating a lot of carbs, you will crave more, and be hungry all the time.

It's hard to offer help without a lot more information though.

I agree with all the other posters.  Change in PPI, decrease calories and increase Dense Protein.  I am 8 months out and below goal eating about 900 calories a day (VERY slowly starting to increase).  What I did notice during the weight loss phase was even with the same calories, I lost more if my protein was higher.  900 calories or junk does not equate to loss for me.  900 of mostly protein does. Dense protein with some fat will help you feel full longer and force most of us to eat less of it.

You were eating more than 1700 calories?  Unfortunately you not only stall but will also begin to gain soon.  That's too many calories.  Are you exercising a lot?

Crack that 1700 in half to get that scale moving down.

Best,

Layla
