I only wear compression stuff when I have to be in a suit, which isn't often, but this is what I use:

It's reasonably priced, is very well constructed, and made in the US.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

I've been looking for a good compression shirt (I guess it just sounds manlier than a girdle - not that there's anything wrong with that!) and it seems that Spanx for Men is probably the best, but they're pretty expensive.  I use Under Armour for my workouts, and they work pretty well.

I also ordered a couple of these, and I'm pretty happy with them so far: http://www.amazon.com/Slimming-Shaper-Shirt-Abdomen-White/dp /B00BXBW07Q/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1426462567&sr=8-6&keyword s=compression+tank

Hey, no worries!  We understood exactly what you were looking for.

The Amazon ones actually work really well.  I wanted a tank top style, since I didn't want it showing at all under my clothes, like at my neck.  These were cheap enough that I was willing to try, and I'm actually happy with them.  They do well holding things in, and I even wore one once for 12 hours.  I usually wear them twice a week or so, when I'm wearing something that I need a little more support.  The Under Armour feels better, but isn't quite as strong.

Eventually I'll pull the trigger on a Spanx tank top, but not until I lose more weight.  I don't want to spend 50-75 dollars and not be able to wear them in a few months.

I bought a Spanx tank top when I was 320 lbs, (XXL) and I still wear it today at 225lbs.  After trying a ton of different options they are still the best out there.

That's good to know.  I may have to pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

I don't know about the men's version, but the Spanx brand is the real deal. Makes your booty singggggggg.

Good luck with your search.
