Can they be crushed and added to food or beverages?

Thank you, I had already thought of that.  I just want to take them and be done.

I take chewable only because I prefer them (I use mostly Celebrate brand) -- but there's really no reason that we have to take chewables that I know of.  Not sure which surgery you had, or if your program is different -- but for me, we were allowed to take regular capsules/tablets at 7 days out.

I have some bittersweet Ghiradelli chocolate chips and eat a couple of those with my chewable vitamins.  Makes them a candy treat for me.

There are Liquid Calcium Citrate/D3 options..I have a bottle by wellness. It's orange cream flavor. However I got the caramel flavored calcium/D3 chews by Bariatric advantage and love them! They taste like a kraft caramel so I feel like I get a sweet treat 3 times a day! I believe they also make a chocolate chew.

don't know what surgery you had but I have been swallowing all my vits and med whole since the day I passed my leak test, 5 years ago. No problem

There shouldn't be any problems swallowing whole tablets.

I had RNY in 2010 and have NEVER had to take chewable vitamins.  I was swallowing whole pills immediately after surgery.

There is no reason that you cannot switch to regular vitamins...
