Blood sugar levels after gastric sleeve

Just wondering if many people experience having low blood Sugar after having the gastric sleeve? I know it's more common with the bypass but I'm interested in knowing if it also affects sleeve patients as well

Yes, I had RNY and have some scary bouts with low blood sugar.  Post this on the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum (VSG) to reach out to those that had the same procedure as you.

I have diabetes and have not had any episodes of low blood sugar. I got the vsg last april, the only thing that changed is that I'm on the lowest dose of diabetes medication available & I hope to be off all meds as the weight comes off.

Hi - I've had just a couple issues with lower blood sugars but it was because I went too long without eating.  This is why I eat 3 meals and two snacks each day....to keep the blood sugar steady.  It works for me!
