New Journey for me Soon, Please give Tips, Advice etc.
My kid has all kinds of food around I don't eat. I just don't allow myself to focus on it. For me, it is kind of inanimate, like the dogs food, I don't think about it as food but just as objects that are in the kitchen.
She sure doesn't get influenced by the food I have and I don't get influenced by what she has.

Hi Huskergal! It sounds like you guys love each other. If you guys are committed to each other I think you can overcome this. I have been in therapy to work on some issues that lead to weight problems. One thing I have learned is NO ONE can READ our minds. You need to ASK for what you want or need. Have you had a genuine heart to heart discussion w/ him about your fear of regain? Maybe you could brainstorm to come up w/ ideas that keep you BOTH happy. (Could he have his treats and snack foods in a place where you don't know where he stores them - he can go and get them any time he wants and then returns them to wherever he has them hidden). Thats kind of the 'out of sight, out of mind' concept. What would he say if you approached him (very kindly) and said, "I love your chili, its so yummy, I know that you want to help me stay healthy and it would help me to do that if we drain a little fat off the meat". (Or you could see if he would be willing to try ground turkey breast to make the chili) or just say - I found this new chili recipe that I think would be fun for us to prepare together (and YOU do the meat part).
There is SO much that goes into HEALTHY relationships. FOOD is a small part - COMMUNICATION is a HUGE part. TALK TO HIM!!!!
