Are there chat rooms for support on this site?

If I search chat rooms there's a link where it looks as though it's going to open a chat room but then says my Java is out of date. Java messed my computer up pretty bad once before. There's another one of the links that says the chat rooms are down. So which is it? Should I try to get the room to work right or are they down?

They do not work anymore.  They were popular years ago, but now sites like Facebook are where people go. 

There used to but over time they got less and less used and eventually disappeared. 

At this time the chat room isn't up.  

I'm not real sure what would be different about a chat room anyway. These groups are pretty close to being a chatroom.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't used a chat room for years but it seemed like it'd be a good place to get questions answered when they came up. This is my first time using a forum honestly but from what I've read it seems like it will be just as affective. It's nice reading everyone else's questions as well. I'm just starting my process into weight loss surgery so it'll be nice to have a place to come for further information. My seminar is tomorrow. I'm terrified but I know it's something I need.

I was looking for a chat room as well. I know people on here respond fairly quickly but the ability just to talk to someone about it in real time would be nice. I work during my local support groups so that option is out.
