Hello folks,

I had VSG 1-27-15 and my question is: when is the best time to take my bariatric vitamins?  I have been taken during times of the day I am drinking fluids..no one has ever told me (NUTS) the ideal time to take these.  Maybe with meals is best.

Any info is appreciated!

I take mine in the morning right before breakfast. Check with your doctor if some need to be taken with food, or on an empty stomach.

the only thing I can do is take them at night, they cause reflux.

Good luck.

I have to take mine close to when I eat otherwise I get lots of nausea.  So I will take them with a drink of water right before a meal or I'll use just a sip of water to get them down right after a meal.

I don't take any before bedtime because they cause reflux in me that late at night.

I take mine throughout the day.

Morning - Multivitamin, D3, Calcium Chew

Afternoon - Calcium Chew

Evening - Multivitamin, D3, Calcium Chew

The important thing is to spread out your calcium for at least two hours.  If you're taking an iron supplement, do not take it at the same time that you take calcium.  There should be a two hour window between taking them.
