I am having butt pain and discomfort even when sitting on cushioned items. I am just wondering if this is normal.

Yep, very common.  You are losing your padding, LOL.  For many of us, it improves as time passes, but even at almost 8 years out, I have to periodically get up and move around frequently at a ballgame or somethign with a hard seat.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Ok thank you for your quick reply. I was hoping that it would eventually stop.

Without knowing when you had surgery, which surgery, how much weight you have liost, answers can only be general! But it us very common to be uncomfortable as you lose weight! Less padding.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
