Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks to both of you for this link.  This is an interesting read.  It is reassuring that there is ongoing research to address the world's obesity problem.  Fast forwarding 20 to 30 years and longer, the research and trends that will potentially evolve will be enlightening and probably concerning as well.  KP

Pretty awesome, they are finding new ways to stop obesity....the only thing that would concern me that it is a foreign body inside your body and it could get dislodged.....similar issues as with lapband. But then again, this would be available to so many, wooohoooooo

it can only be implanted for 6 months then  has to be removed. Then what will one do?

Regain!!!   But it might be that this develops into something more long term.

Interestingly, it is now accepted that this is how the band should work, not by restrictng the amount of food (as was originally thought) but by making the oesophageal walls work more, thus signalling to the brain that more foid has been ingested than is actually the case. So maybe developing this might offer the benefits of the band (and I personally have those in full) without the many problems  it can cause.
