WLS is not for everyone. There are some who, for a variety of reasons, should not pursue it. The lap band particularly has a high complication rate. 

The first thing ANYONE who wants wls should do is vet his or her insurance benefits. Stop trying to politicize this-it's nothing to do with that. It boils down to meeting requirements,  and that has not a thing to do with Democrat, Republican, or the price of tea.

My surgery was in Ohio, but if you're interested in the DS, Dr. Dennis Smith in Atlanta and Dr. Bonnani in Conyers both do the DS.
