Cheating on the PRE OP diet

I didn't see anyone being harsh at all.  I saw several people telling her it was perfectly fine not to stick to her surgeon's recommend pre-op plan (which I don't really think is helpful) and others telling her it is better to stick to the plan, but nothing harsh at all.  It saddens me to see people encouraging others to cheat on their pre-op diet.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

Do not beat yourself up over this.  That will not move you forward.  Be accountable for going off your plan and let it go.  Continue to move forward and KNOW that you can and will do this!!!  We are all part of this site as each of us has slipped in the past.  I believe in you!

Speak for yourself.  I didn't "slip up" on my preop instructions. I listened to my surgeon because I understood the seriousness of the surgery.

Your fine Nobody here is perfect that's why we all need/needed surgery to lose weight Cuz all of us have a damn problem! But it's just a slip up I don't believe you'll fail because of it! But I'm on day 10 i haven't cheated (Idk where I get the will power not to) but I have been doing the two week liquid diet off and on since October so they have become second nature to me now. Anyhow just a few more days to go for you, you got this girl!!

Yup, do whatever the hell you want... and then the surgeon does whatever the hell HE wants when he closes you up without doing the surgery because your liver hasn't shrunk to expectations.

Thank you for all your replies! I know I will be fine short term for the surgery and long term afterwards. Sometimes when you actually write or type something out, it opens up neuropathways so that what you are thinking actually makes an impression on your mind scientifically so it doesn't become a passing thought. Since I wrote and shared my thoughts, it will stop me from cheating and significantly increase my success rate.

I think everyone is different in how they give feedback and also how receptive they are to tough criticism. some people have a soft delivery and others live their lives with a no nonsense approach. I think most of the members on here are a little softer in delivering our supportive words and that is why the site has been such a successful forum for support.

There are a few members on here who have a no nonsense approach in their delivery. Because I frequent this forum, I see that there is one member, in particular, who always replies to posts with that negative attachment. But I would be cranky too if I had to sit on a chilli pepper all day. :)

Here's the awesome news: today is a new day and surgery is in three days! It's so funny because weeks can go by so quickly, but time is just passing so slow, in anticipation of my surgery! Positive vibes!!!!! 💗💗💗

You be sure to take your advice from the the ones who haven't had their surgery yet or are giving you a pass  on cheating because of all there days and months of experience living as a postop. You may not like my delivery because I didn't give you a hand pat or an "atta girl" for cheating but you are the one who has complained from day one about drinking the protien and now admitting to your inability to follow short term instructions to prepare yourself physically for surgery.  I may be blunt in my delivery but it comes from years of experience seeing the ones who cheat on their preop being the first ones to complain that they aren't losing.

Who would ever want a pat on the back or an "atta girl" for cheating? That seems counterintuitive.

I have complained about the protein shakes... Because they suck- I think that's the common census on this forum- And I have been playful when I posted about complaining. I think my title of one was "Complaint sesh."

The bottom line is, we are all accountable for our own actions and at the end of the day, you get out of this what you put in. I know this. I am intelligent and I understand your point(s). I just roll in a different style than you do and statistically, your delivery style doesn't produce favorable results. But that's the beauty of public forums and I truly appreciate you taking to time to respond. Sugar and spice is a good balance. As long as it's natural sugar. See what I just did there? Lol.

Positive, positive, positive. Rainbows and hard effing work. That's what it takes!

Hey, on a good note, I haven't cheated today and my jeans are loose on me! Can I get a hell yeah?!
