Problems with severe Flatulence

I know, I Know but it is something that is horrible and VERY embarrassing, especially when working with the public. .  Does anyone else have this problem post RNY and what can be done about it?  I have tried many things but find no relief!

Most problems with odorous gas are from too many processed carbs (sugar, bread, pasta, chips, etc.) or too many sugar alcohols ( any ingredient in sugar free items ending in 'tol).  You could try to control it by changing your diet.

There is a product called Devrom that will take care of the odor.  You will still have the gas, rumbling and expulsion,  but at least it won't be stinky.  I've used it when I know I will not be avoiding carbs (like at an occasional party or wedding) and it works.

Thank you Rocky, and all others *****plied. I will watch the diet and begin again.  As for the Devrom, I have ordered a supply and hope it arrives soon. May God pay you in Good Health, Wealth and the time to enjoy them both.

Elimination diet... Then slowly introduce different foods to find out what cadres the problem. 

I can't eat beans, or grains ...also any qty of SA (even as little as in SF gum) is problem for me. 

Raw veggies...some of them..ugh...

Gas- X helps some, digestive enzymes...beano...but to eliminate the problem means keeping very clean diet.

I ate an Atkins protein bar that had high sugar Alcohols and I had gas for days. I never thought I had a problem with sugar alcohols, but this had a lot like 17g. Never again.

You might see if you have bacterial overgrowth in your intestines.  Try some probiotics and cultured yogurt and see if it helps.

To many carbs or Sugar Alcohols will get me being ripe.  As others have said reset your diet and slowly add things back and see where it starts.

 

Other options are do it quietly and blame old ladies in public.
