ulcers forced me to now be bulemic
I am now in desperate need of help life or death. I will try to explain the story in as much detail to try and get some kind of help or at least pointed into right direction. I had the Rouen g y back in 2008 by Dr. Peter Lalor. My highest weight was at 334lbs. About 2011 I developed a unusually large ulcer in my pouch stomach causing me to vomit and the complete inability to keep any food down. I sought the help of my family doctor who was unable to pin point the cause and actually diagnose the ulcers. I therefore found myself at the ER suffering from horrible stomach pain and puking. Finally after many more trips at the ER they called in Dr. Lalor who did an MRI and seen what he described as one of the largest ulcers he himself had witnessed. By that point I had been sick and continuously vomiting for an actual year and an half. It's now 2015, I am finally trying to find some kind of help from somewhere. I am basically a full blown bulimic. I am not afraid of gaining weight nor do I share the same views of traditional people with eating disorders where I have self esteem issues. I struggle every day and vomit each and everyday. I can not keep weight on and find myself now without a large number or my teeth and the teeth I do have are rotten and are painful due to the affects of the binging and purging. Dr. Lalor has discharged me from his care and practice due to my inability to quit smoking and failed nicotine tests. I have a feeding tube which is anchored in my "old stomach" but I have not and do not use. It does absolutely nothing for the bulimia mental problems I face. In fact I have not used the feeding tube in almost 2 full years but can not get or find a doctor to even touch it because another doctor had put it in. Dr. Lalor will not and refuses to remove the feeding tube since I am no longer under his care. I do not have continuous internet but please if you know or can help get pointed into right direction please its my life on the line I have 3 kids who are basically watching me waste into nothing but a bed stricten person on some days. My name is Amber please reply and or PM me.
Thank you....

Amber, my first suggestion is to seek help with a mental health counselor/psychologist. Have you gotten the ulcer fixed? If not, it sounds quite extreme at this point. If you must stop smoking per the doctors orders and you just can't, you need the assistance of a professional in mental health. I do not have the same problems as you do, but I found it very helpful to seek a mental health professional after my surgery. Although I don't know exactly what you're going through, I can relate regarding a frail mental state. Please feel free to PM me.
If you can't keep weight on, why aren't you using the feeding tube?
Have you had treatment for bulimia? Are you still smoking? Smoking can cause ulcers.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.

I was asking if she was getting treatment for bulimia. She describes herself as bulimic now, and a therapist should be willing to treat an eating disorder even if a patient smokes.

Edit your post and remove your phone number. That's not the type of thing you want out there for the whole world to see.

You need a therapist to deal with your mental issues and then hopefully a doctor will help you with the rest. If your insurance does not cover it, call your state mental health services and maybe they can point you in the right direction. I assume you are in Ohio since that is where your surgeon is. If so, here is their contact information:

Why did it take a year and a half to get your Bariatric surgeon involved with your many trips to the ER? That sounds strange. If you have a feeding tube why are you not using it? At least you would get nutrition in bypassing your pouch so you don't have to binge and purge while smoking in front of your children. This all seems a bit strange. There are Bariatric surgeons that will take on other surgeons patients. You need to quit smoking though.
