Night snacking

It is good to plan in an evening snack.

What helps me is to 'close the kitchen' after my snack.

Clean up, turn off the lights, go brush my teeth, floss, gargle and be done for the day.

Having a clean, fresh mouth helps me stop eating.

That is genius and yet so simple.  I'm going to try this.  Night time is a bear for me and I'm usually up late so it makes it even harder.

I replaced evening snacking with hot herbal teas - I have a dozen or so varieties now and enjoy a cup or two each night instead of ice cream or other junk food.

I love tea, it just never seems to satisfy my sweet tooth. I should try it again since surgery though. Maybe it will work now :)

Hot drinks fill me up so I usually plan to have a cup of tea or on very rare occasions a cup of sugar free hot coco. seems to work. hard to resist food/carbs s I get it.

I, too have this problem at times, but if I eat too close to bedtime, I have issues with indigestion and even vomiting. It is so not worth it.

My solution is to sip ginger tea and the urge to " graze" goes away.

I hope that you can get this under control.

I am 3 years out from surgery and have met and exceeded my goal weight. I went from a size 32 to a size 10/12.

good luck.
