Anyone self pay???
By law, they have to give you the option of continuing your insurance if you get cut off. Paying a month's insurance out of pocket has to be cheaper than self pay.

Hi...I am sorry about losing insurance. I went to Dr. Pompa in Mexico and paid 12,500 and financed a large portion through mymedical. She was absolutely great!!! If you have and questions you can email me at [email protected]
Yes. My wife and I both had to pay out-of-pocket. We went to the Mexicali Bariatric Center in Mexico. VERY good setup.
We paid $17,500 for the both of us... not counting airfare to get there which was about $500 each for round-trip, Atlanta to San Diego.
We put it on a credit card with a low interest rate for a year. Next year we'll transfer it to another card with a low one-year rate. We should have it paid off by the start of the third year.
That's great your wife and yourself did it together and for a low cost! Who was your surgeon? I call them and they said 11k for RNY
We had Rodolfo Wilhelmy.
I'm self pay. I am in Mexico right now having vsg in a few hours with doctor Ismael Cabrera. It cost me 4250.00us plus $500.00 for airfare. So far so good. :) I would never be able to afford the 20,000.00 it would have cost in Canada. My girlfriend used the same doctor before so I had a good supporter. I came alone to save money on flights and so my husband could also stay with our kids :). Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I can give a better final review tomorrow.
