As long as that feels comfortable for you.

You can take bigger drinks whenever it feels comfortable to you.  I have been drinking pretty much normally since about 2 weeks out.  I think it just depends on how swollen you are and how your sleeve reacts.

At about 3-4 weeks out I could tell a definite difference in how much I could sip or drink at one time.  By about two months out I felt like I was definitely taking "normal" drinks...not guzzling, still don't do that.  But definitely more normal.

^^^ What Tracy said.  It took about four weeks before I could take a healthy swig of water.  Now I can finish off half a 16 ounce bottles water in one gulp.

Some days it seems like I can drink water with regular or even big-ish swallows, and some days all I can do is sip.  I'm about 4 months out now.

I am almost 4 months out and was having problems meeting my daily goal of fluid intake. I carried around a 32 oz deer park water bottle. With the small mouth on the bottle I had a hard time of getting all my liquids in. I switched to drinking from a 16 oz blender cup as the opening is wider and less room for air. This has increased my water intake. I am now drinking on the upper side of 70 oz a day.

I am 11 years out and still take smaller amounts of fluid when I drink. I just drink all day long.
