Gallbladder removal- what am I in for?

My attacks were similar to yours. I remember sitting in the er, literally biting the sheet to keep from screaming in pain. My removal was laparoscopic, and like others said, I was home the next day, chasing my toddler a few days later. Much easier than any other surgery I've had! Best of luck!

Sassy,

I'm sure you'll do fine. I had mine removed in 2008...the final attack sent me to the ER and that was enough. Mine procedure was outpatient and home in three hours. Just needed to rest for a few days.

Good luck with vet school, that's an tough program!

I had mine done before the sleeve, and it felt allot like the sleeve pain.....It wasnt bad, just kind of have to watch greasy and spicy foods, but I found out after my Sleeve..... I couldnt eat Spicy, not for anything it did to my stomach but It seemed to just burn my mouth off..and I was one that ate Ghost peppers and anything SUPER hott...... even seeded Jalapenos are a bit much.....

In fact they used one of my incisions at the top by the rib cage again so I wouldnt have extra scaring........Its not bad.....but I know everyone is different...
