Totally unsure if I can make it.

I only have one thing left on my checklist before being submitted for insurance aproval and scheduling my surgery, that is to have an EGD to check for hernias and ulcers. I do have it scheduled but it's 6 weeks away. I know that 6 weeks away isn't a long ways away. But in the meantime it made my mind immediately jump to the thought of "thats so far away I wont be able to make it that long, continue to lose weight as needed or at least maintain the weight loss I've had".  I think I had psyched myself up since completing the rest of the checklist didn't take very long. Not sure if I am looking for sympathy, commiseration, supportor wanting to whine about it.

Thanks everyone

You will make it just fine.  Six weeks will go by in the blink of an eye.

Just take a breath and keep making good food choices, you can do this!

Try to think of it as another 6 weeks to prepare and research.  I'm really grateful I had the time I did pre-op.  My surgery was delayed a month because my endoscopy revealed that I had an ulcer and I had to treat it before I could have surgery.  At the time, I was super sad and distressed at having to delay, but I used the time wisely and now, almost 11 months post-op, I barely even remember the delay.  :)

Give them a call and see if there is a cancellation list that you can get on. I know my place does and when the get a cancellation they call you to see if you can fill the spot. That could move things up considerably. Otherwise just keep at logging foods and trying your best. Good luck to you!

You WILL make it. and if you need encouragement, or if you want to whine or complain, or if you need sympathy, you are in the right place.

I remember thinking that the 6 months I had to wait before my VSG was interminable. I could not lose some weight and keep it off for that whole time, which turned out to be 8 months instead of 6.  But I did it and finally had my surgery.

It was the best thing I ever did for myself! And it will be the best thing you ever do for yourself, too. Keep your focus on the end result!
