Diabetic
I was on prednisone for 2 yrs and it took me a year of that to taper off of it. My blood sugar went totally berserk and I was diagnosed as prediabetic but they didn't want to start me on any meds until I was off the prednisone for over a month. It took me 3 weeks to get rid of all the symptoms and I did have blurry eyes then and still have them now from being on the computer all the time. I too thought maybe it was from the prednisone but turns out some good eye drops fixes the problem. Not minimizing or dismissing your situation but it could be from other things and totally unrelated. Most of the prednisone related issues come on after prolonged usage and they do hang on for awhile after stopping it. When my blood sugars were messed up I did have to eat super low carb, like less than 10-12 grams of sugar or carbs so you may have to go really clean in your eating.

Just went to my primary who is now putting me on meds for diabeties. My numbers went up to over 300 and they are saying it is dangerous. Eyesight still bad. I also just foundout I have high BP, all of which I never had 10 days ago. I took theses steroids only 5 days! I also went today to my bariatric surgeon who explained that it sometimes takes so little to push someone who was borderline over to the "dark side", which is where I am now. He states that I would greatly benefit from gastric bypass. Before last week RNY was an option, today it's a necessity. Unfortunately
