New Vitamins?
Oraly we need 200% of all vitamins minerals . With skin absorbtion, we need only 100%.. And different type of vitamins get absorbed differently oraly and by skin
Oraly - we need calcium citrate..skin - not so much.
I think bunch of DSrs take them, and some see great improvement in their numbers when they could not improve through pills.
You may look into that. Just in case you may need them.
I wish they had iron. Iron kills my gut...so i don't take it..(way too much pain -i have and tired way too many of them..)...

I have been reading some good research on lab numbers after it so it may just have to be that I try it for myself and see what my lab numbers do. I know the multi (which they changed a little) has a little bit of iron and Lord knows I need it. I was told not to take Iron daily unless I had a serious deficiency because it can cause constipation.
It doesn't matter how much calcium is in there, if you aren't absorbing it.

The point with the patches - is that the delivery is different - so the oral way of breaking down and absorbing it - does not apply.

We have a group of DS volunteers giving them a try right now. The first initial labs are promising, but we need more time before we start singing from the rooftops. Considering our malabsorption of oral vitamins, the idea of taking normal amounts is exciting, and even taking extra calcium patches is still a cost-effective option. If you decide to give them a try, have your labs monitored closely for a while to make sure you're absorbing well.

I LOVE PATCH MD!! I checked with my surgeon and nutritionist and they said give them a try. I suggest you talk to to your resources first - I printed out the info from the website and took it in to the office.
I'm just one month post-surgery and even the chewable vitamins did not sit well in my stomach. I still take the weekly nasal vit B and enough Pepcid to give me adequate calcium. When I have my 3 month bloodwork done, I'll know how effective the Patches are. I put one on in the morning and I am DONE!!! (4 pills avoided) PatchMD often runs specials, so the price may be lower than advertised.
Good Luck!

Just remember it takes up to a year for deficiancys to show up and he told you to take Pepcid so you can get extra calcium? That had calcium carbonate which we don't absorb.
