i had my surgery August 21,2014. I have had no fills and lost about 20 lbs. I'm finally going for my first fill Feb 6, 2015 and I'm a little neevous. The Dr said my band was at zero, which is probably why I've had such an easy time and also not lost as much! Lol I want to ask the nurse to give me the least amount of "fill" as possible cause I don't want to feel like I did immediately after surgery after the fill. Any advice is appreciated!

Only 20 lbs in 5 months - I'd be pissed.

Well as a banded person, I wouidnt be pissed! Val has the DS, so she would be! It is at the lower end of loss rate but wth an average exoected loss of 1-2lbs a week, it is acceptable!

If you are losing steadily, albeit slowly, you are right to keep your fill level as low as you can. The tighter the band, the greater the risk. The band shouid never stop us eating, just help us dim appetite,

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Haha! I understand what you mean but I am only 195 lbs and was 215 when I started and I have basically gone back to eating whatever I want, just can't shove quite as much down! I'm only 5 feet tall, so I'm basically a circle!  Also, thanks for your input I thought I should ask for the least amount of restriction so I can try to get used to eating less again. Also, I see you felt you were too thin at one point, I'm good with weighing 150 ultimately, and can't imagine being 120, I would seriously need plastic surgery if I lost that much.
