I started my liquid diet today.  Last week met with the nutritionist to review pre and post ops diet.  I was a bit hungry mid-day but and doing fine now.  Most people tell me the first 3 days a tough, then pretty smooth.  My focus is getting read for surgery so I pat myself on the back for doing the required work.  It helps me to focus on the long term.  You can do this   Good luck!

I had the liquid diet for two weeks and I missed having something to chew, so I chewed gum.  I cooked regular meals for my husband and drank liquids from some of the food.  I lost ten pounds before the surgery.  Doing with out solid food for 30 days should just be seen as preparation for changing your life.  If dramatic changes aren't made in how much and what you eat, the surgery will be a waste of time. Also, you will have other problems like vomiting, food getting stuck, pain where the incision was made and on the inside of the body.  Follow the doctor and dietitian plans and you should probably be fine.

I would have to follow a liquid diet pre op for 2 weeks.  Keep your eye on the prize when it gets hard...
