Compression garments

I recently had surgery on Jan.23,2015. As I look at myself in the mirror, I wonder, does anyone use compression garments during the weight loss process to help combat loose skin? If so, what brands? Is it truly beneficial?

Sure, I used shapers etc but it was to tuck things in. Doesn't do much for loose skin, it will still be there tucked into the shaper! Plastics is the only answer if you have skin excess after weight loss.

Hi 1NJmommy,

I used Lipo In a Box for a smooth look but it does not do anything to help you have less skin issues. No compression garment will. Only PS will help with that.

I have a black tank top that has rubber band on the bottom around hips so it doesn't slide...it has helped a lot..the 1st week I would wear it to bed so my stomach (incisions) would have support & not just be hanging around :(

I bought it a while back at Lane Bryant... I wear it under my clothes when I go out..just makes me feel better :)

I'm 9 years out and I wear them to work daily.  I never had plastics and feel much more confident with my shapers.
