I was just wondering what ya'll thought about last nights episode. I was SO not a fan of Chuck (think that was his name) but didn't get as annoyed with this episode lol.... Not gonna be a spoiler of those who haven't seen it yet so will Shhhh. Food for thought also...Do you think these people have to pay for there skin removal? Hmmm

Karma....What would life be without it?  250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!

I have no ye****ched it. Usually there is some kind of appearance fee for doing these kind of shows. So I am guessing TLC pays for all that. For example the Duggars were getting like 50 grand an episode. So if TLC shells out say 20 grand for some surgery I am sure they will more then get that back since my 600 pound life seems to be doing well for them. It could also be since many of them don't work they are on medicare and or medicaid which if the skin is hurting mobility it may be covered.

I didn't get annoyed with him b/c he wasn't whining like a 3 year old this episode. He was acting like a man. Good for him!

I would think insurance is covering the skin removal. I am sure they can prove mobility or skin integrity issues so it can be covered by whatever insurance they have. So far everyone looks good...except Penny.

I forgot to record it..grrr.

I think TLC foots the bill for everything.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

They will probably re-run it next week 1 hour before the new episode.

That is how I got to see the "Penny" episode -- it was on last night, right before the new one.

I was really happy with the people in last night's episode.  They've made great changes even in the face of some really crappy stuff happening.  They've gotten back on track and that's awesome.

I had always assumed that the surgery costs were covered by the show but in the previous episode with Chuck he said that if his wife divorced him, he would lose his insurance and wouldn't be able to continue seeing the dr or be able to have his skin surgery.

Yeah but you have to also think about that there really is no such thing as true reality tv. It has come out that many shows add things just to create more drama. Think about if a camera followed most of us losing our weight it would probably be boring so they have to throw some stuff in.

I'm not sure what your point is. Are you suggesting he was fake crying and she fake divorced him  in order to add to the drama of the show?
