Vertical Sleeve with ulcers?
I am scheduled to meet with my surgeon on February 19th but in the meantime i was wondering if anyone could answer my question.
I have two ulcers in my stomach and I was wondering if a vertical sleeve is even an option or if they will continue with the surgery knowing that I have ulcers? I guess I just do not understand how it works when someone has issues with there stomach.
There isn't any way for us to tell you because whether or not they can even do the surgery depends on the exact location of the ulcers in your stomach, and whether or not you are a good candidate for any type of WLS may be affected by how many you have, how big they are, where they are at, and what has caused them.

I honestly do not know. The surgeon needs to give you that info. He'll look at your history, your medical reports, and maybe want to do more testing.
After my surgery, I went online under my patient account and read my patho report. It stated there was a small lesion that looked like it may be an ulcer in the stomach they removed! News to me lol.
