Where do I start

Thank you for the reply Debbie. I am hoping I'm not required either. I mean if I was still on the lower end of obesity maybe but I was 250 in 6th grade. No matter how active I was, back problems and arthritis just crept on over the years till one day I could barely walk.....then barely breathe.....I mean I doubt 6 months of doctor visits will make a huge difference. Hopefully by my birthday next January I will have made some serious changes and undergone the surgery.

Im working on trying to eat better now but It is so difficult when the rest of the household eats junk in your face. I swear the hunger pains mess with my mind. I definitely need to work on my willpower.

Cognrats on taking the first step towards a more healthy life.

For me - the best part of the 6 months pre-surgery was preparing myself mentally.  And, preparing my family.  Sounds like you'll have some work to do in order to get your family to be more supportive.

Thanks Lady bugg. I think the biggest issue is me because I need to find healthier foods without interfering with them. I don't cook much but that probably needs to change. I don't want them to have to change for me even though we all need to lose weight. My brother is only 100 lbs lighter than me. He is just 6 5 instead of my 5 2 and able to carry it better. I am going to have to sit and have a talk with them though. You are right the pre-surgery may give us time to make changes. However we to to work better under crunch and with no choice. So we may be better post surgery unfortunately. Either way I am excited. This is the year for changes.
