Technical Help

I looked in the help section first but I didn't find what I needed.

I was looking into why I'm not getting alerts from this site and I realized it's because years ago I had signed up here and used this email address. Recently, when I decided to come back to the site I couldn't remember my log in name, so I created a new account. The email account I need for my current profile is stuck on my old profile and since I don't know the log in name, I can't deactivate it.

Help?

Ok, so through some ingenious  super secret agent ninja skills, I found my old log in name, and I was able to deactivate that account. However, it still won't let me update my email address on this account. Does it take a few days or is there something more I need to do?
