Want to buy an activity monitor, what do you use?

Now that I am moving again I would love to get one of those activity monitors.  The tracker on my new phone is supposed to sync with my food tracker but it's not working.

I would appreciate you letting me know what you like/dislike about the one you have.  I have seen some positive comments on the FitBit?

Thanks everyone

I really like my fitbit. I have had it for a couple of years. If I was buying now I think I would look for a water proof tracker because I do a lot of swimming. I also find Map my Ride app for my phone much better for bike riding. Good Luck in your search

Thanks Pat!

I didn't realize you could buy them and use them while swimming.  I have issues with my back and knees (who doesn't LOL) and turn to water if I have to. That would be so cool to be able to track cals burned while swimming.

Do you have the clip on or bracelet?

I have the clip. I like being ale to hide it. I also have issues with getting rashes easily.

I found this site from PC Magazine. They do a comparison of the water proof ones. I think I might wait awhile to see if fitbit comes out with one. I like being able to do my menu on fitbit. It will also sync with Map my Ride

Good point about wearing the bracelet, especially if you swim.  On my way to read the review, thanks again

I like the fitbit one. I clip it to my bra & it works with the my fitness pal app.

If I needed an activity tracker RIGHT NOW, I'd get a FitBit.  It's got the strongest ecosystem and the most support.  But, personally, I'd wait for the Apple Watch which is coming out in the Spring (supposedly).
