Skinny people problems
Just read a funny post on fat people problems, but who knew about skinny people problems...
How do you keep bony knees from knocking together at night?
Five layers of clothes needed to keep you warm make you appear just as big as you ever were.
When you first realize you are no longer an accepted member of your old alliance.
1. pillow between the knees!
2. electric heated throws!
3. Haven't had that experience but began to notice when I became the thinnest woman in the room (frequently)
Another one to add: really angry tailbone.

I've never even thought to check out if I'm the thinnest woman in any given place!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I'm "below average" in terms of clothing size.
( I always checked to see if I was the biggest woman at an event. I often WAS the biggest person, not just woman. )
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

The tailbone and butt pain are the worst! I can't even sleep on my back any longer. I have a special chair at work and a butt pillow on top with the tailbone section cut out. Oof. Sitting on the toilet and in the bathtub can be agony! Also, the knee bones knocking together at night are quite a pain. But, with the help of knee and butt pillows, my scrawny bits are much happier. :-)
I've lost enough to have all three of these problems! I'm a side-fetal sleeper, and it feels weird to have to shift my knees so they're not parallel just to sleep!
I feel like Mr. Rogers, because as soon as I get to work, I take off my coat and put on a zip up hoodie!
And for the last one, a guy I work with, that I've literally known for 30 years, won't talk to me anymore. Yesterday I finally asked him what's up, and his response is "I just can't be around someone who won't lose weight the "right" way with just diet and exercise." Whatever, dude. You've been working at losing weight for 9 months and have lost 10 pounds. I've lost 88 lbs, my diabetes is almost in remission, and I'm healthier than I've been since high school. I really think he would benefit from WLS, but he's so closed minded, it'll never happen. I wish him the best of luck, but I don't have a lot of confidence in him succeeding.

150 lost and maintaining!
That's messed up about your coworker! "Whatever, dude" is right. We don't need that kind of negativity.
What a tool that guy is!!!!

I have loved reading this thread, but had to comment on this. Your friend was not being truthful with you when he said he could not be around you because you won't lose weight the "right" way. This cannot be the case, since you said you had known him for many years and he was friends with you when you were overweight and not/minimally losing. He was friends with you when you were not losing any weight, in any method. So, it wasn't that you "won't"/wouldn't lose weight...it is that you ARE losing weight, just in a way he is intimidated by. Sounds like a deficiency in his character. When he sees you healthy, cured of diabetes, eating healthy and exercising, perhaps then he will deign to force himself to "be around" you...probably asking for diet tips!! Have a great journey!!

"I am sorry you feel that way" is a powerful and freeing statement, especially when not accompanied by anything else.
