Sleep Apnea
I had sleep apnea (and terrible snoring) prior to my RNY, and it was gone by the time I was 6 months out and down 100 pounds (I eventually lost 190 total, so I was little more than half way there). I was living alone at the time, so that is as close as I can pinpoint the timeframe.
I had already noticed that I was no longer waking myself up enough that I was actually aware that I had stopped breathing and startled myself awake (I did not use a CPAP because I suffer from PTSD and a mask of any kind in my face would have been extremely triggering), but at sis months out I went on vacation with my mom and we shared a room. We had traveled a lot together so she was used to my apnea and snoring, and she is the one who told me it was completely gone. We were gone for 9 days and she didn't notice it once!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
