Adipex....kills the cravings anyone try long term weightloss with just a pill?

As someone earlier said - if pills worked long term, none of us would have had surgery.

May be nonsense, but i actually blame pills for my problems.  When I was 20, I was not fat! At U.S. size 10-12, I was curvaceous but slim. But I thought I was fat. I went to a private slimming doctor and got what I now realise were amphetamines. I was very, very naive.  I lost weight, became a size 6 - not right for me but I liked it. Came off meds, went up more than I had lost. Went back in meds, weight came off. Ran out of money, came off meds, weight went back plus more.

Shortly after that, a leading newspaper set up a sting and exposed the doctor for unprofessional practice!

i really date my problems to that time.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Before my weight loss surgery (sleeve)  I did get a weight loss pill from my Primary Doc but I could not stay on it my head was fuzzy & I felt completely dazed plus got blurred vision.  I have tried so many other things including Jenny Craig, various fad diets and when I was young I was into body building had a crazy high protein low carb diet with only 500 calories or less.  This along with working out 4 to 6 days per week 2 + hours per day.

None of these things could be sustained long term for me.  I know others have had great success with all the other methods I tried but I was not able to sustain the weight loss.  I am only a month post op and so far things are going really well for me I feel validated that I made the right decision for me and I weight all the options for 3 years prior to taking the plunge.  I am very happy with my surgeon and the results thus far.  For me always have to look at the side effects of anything especially medications since I have a sensitivity to many meds.

Here's a really easy way to tell if this -or any pill - will work in the long term. if it worked, it would cost TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS a pill.

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

I ended up gaining even while on the diet pills. I was taking Belviq and while it does curb my appetite it seems my body got used to it and it became pointless to even take it anymore. I have tried phentrime in the past - gained that back.
