Dark inner thighs- any experience?
The last couple years when I put on the majority of my weight, I've been experiencing a darkening of the skin of my inner thighs. Its in the area that experiences the most chaffing from walking around with thighs that could start a fire haha.
Anyhow it makes me pretty insecure about that area, and I was wondering if anyone else had/has it, and how you treated it? I've tried hydroquinone and a couple TCA peels but it still persists. I wash well and keep moisturized, but it still has a "dirty skin" look, bleh.
Any advice??

After I lost the weight they stayed dark, then I had a 10lb panni removed and started using Gold Bond lotion twice a day and they ave improved significantly. Not perfect but MUCH better. Good luck, there is also some bleaching creams, usually sold at Asian import stores.

As I've gotten older, areas have lightened a lot. It used to bother me (used my share of over the counter lightening creams) but then I am like - I am only human. Love me for me. I had always had dark knees, ankles, elbows, neck, underarms, and inner thighs. The inner thighs I believe rubbing/irritation/ rash was mostly the cause. If I knew better, I am sure I could have avoided it. I've faced that I can do my best and get as good as I can and then call it a day. No one who loves you loves you less.
Love you and feel better.

I would probably see a dermatologist if I hadn't already - have you tried that?

It could be a lot of things. Hyperpigmentation could be insulin resistance, venous insufficiency, hormonal issues, etc. It's not an emergency, but definitely something you need to see a doctor for.
