I am almost 12 weeks out from RNY.  At 9 weeks out, I had to have my gall bladder removed.  Recovery has been a lot of fun.  Since the gall bladder removal, I had some severe pain around the area the where the gall bladder was.  My doc said it was due to manipulation of the area (to say it politely) during the surgery.  That pain has resolved well enough, but I have pain in the center of my abdomen.  It sometimes resolves when I eat.  Does anyone out there have actual physical pain when hungry?  I am still trying to get used to food not being anything other than fuel.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

From your post it's only been 3 weeks since your gall bladder surgery. Even when they do it Laparoscopic it's still a trauma to your body. Give it some time, but let your surgeon know you are still having pain just to be sure.

Post this on the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum (RNY) from too.  To reach out to those that have had the same surgery as you.  Good luck and keep us posted.
