I'm fairly new to this process too however, I've worked for BCBS for 13 years. You need a good customer service rep on the line. They can call the provider to explain to them your individual policy and exclusive benefits. A lot of times doctors base their information on general insurance carrier policies and do not take the time to look at each individual on a case by case basis. If I were in your state, I'd call for you. But, unfortunately, I can't reach out to providers in other states. Keep trying. Don't give in. And good luck.
