AFLAC- I know it has been discussed before, but.....

I am hoping someone with more recent WLS Experience can chime in...

My understanding is that with the AFLAC Hospital Advantage Plan members will receive  reimbursement for the overnight hospital stay ($100/day), but I am curious if the Surgical Benefits or any other benefits listed in the Schedule of Operations have been covered.   Thanks in advance for anyone who has been down this path with AFLAC.

Hi

I don't have any experience with AFLAC, but can your HR person be of help? Is there a representative that you can find out from AFLAC?  We did a search for you and found other posts. We hope they will help. Here is the link:

Good luck.  Btw, we have an insurance forum. Please post this there also!

The one and only experience I have ever had with AFLAC was bad.  I made the "unforgivable" mistake of making the phone call to schedule an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon for possible knee replacement a week prior to the first day of my AFLAC policy to begin.

I had been to my PC first for the referral to the surgeon and because it was about my knee, AFLAC said my policy will not cover anything.  Needless to say, I have NOTHING nice to say about AFLAC.  Sorry.

All posts that I make on this site, any forum, are a result in my having experience and caring for anyone having to go through life as an obese person. If you have medical issues, please see your doctor for medical advice.
