A suggestion if I may, Mike. It gets more difficult sorting out new posts from the old when you keep adding to a thread that was started several days before. There are really two or three different topics here, and I think people avoid responding because it meanders.

I think you'd get more feedback if you broke posts into different parts. Like stsrting a new thread after you returned to the doctor and had the wound drained, etc. Just a suggestion.

If its an infection yuou want it out, what you describe is no big deal really, it sounds worse then it is.  My friend had an infection like that and it ruptured in the doctors office with green goop flying across the room.  It had to heal from the inside out, she said it felt a million times bettet with the crap out.
