hard dealing with weigh unhappiness
Hi. I'm new here. Hello to everyone.
I've been dealing with weigh gain since my early teens. On top of that I was very shy growing up. I'm better at that some. (I think) also a have bipolar depression and ocd. I was heavy before the meds. Now it's nuts. I feel like I'm eating all the time and craving more. This never full feeling is going to ruin my more it has. My body hurts constantly. Walking I'm tired so fast. Job is getting harder. I'm getting depression badly. I think about dating and feel like no one will love me. I have not dated and I'm 26 due to my insecurities of my body image. I have some goods and family that love me . A person who loves me. Yut I don't like myself. I recently ask my doc about gastro bypass. Yet he did not seem like me thought it was a good idea. I have insurance it's not great. And I know skin surgery in crazy expensive.
I'm not really know what to do next. Any advice , anything I thank you in advance.

I'd start by calling the number on your insurance card and finding out what their requirements are for surgery. Find out which surgeons they'll cover and then go to information seminars for those surgeons to learn about your options and figure out which surgeons you like.

Surgery will only work on your stomach, the head issues are a separate matter & you should look into getting some therapy for that. Talking it out may help you. Definitely do some research & go to a bariatric seminar & learn all the options available to you.
Definitely get off the carbs!, they make you hungry & you end up craving for more. Also acid mimics hunger, maybe you need a ppi?, or maybe it's a side affect of your medication.

-no matter what other battles in life you are facing i think WLS is a good option for....weight loss for most people who have weight to lose. you're 26 and sound competent enough to make your own decisions. most bariatric centers have "in house" psychologist who can evaluate your mental and emotional state and readiness for surgery, and professionals who can help predict your progress with weight loss after surgery. if YOU think being overweight is hindering your over all good health imo start going down the road with the medical professionals who can help and support you if you decide you want WLS.
taking the first step is important, though. it might just be putting yourself in a room at a hospital with a bunch of other people who have had or are waiting to have surgery. but that in fact was the first step for many of us
good luck!
