Am I eligible for a weight loss revision?

I had RNY at 280. I have focused on protein first, kept away from fruit and most carby bread products with the exception of an occasional  whole wheat pita pocket( 1/4th of one )...and I reached goal in 19 months. I really wonder how protein made you gain....when it seems to work for everyone else who has posted on this thread of yours. Strange.

300 is a perfectly acceptable weight for having RNY. I'm not quite clear if you think 300 is too lightweight, or too heavy, to have RNY.

 Edited for clarity.

Aside from the amazingly annoying purple print which is extremely hard to read I would suggest you go back to your centres dietician. We are extremely lucky in Ontario that our surgeries are paid for. You were given a free surgery that many have to pay out of their pockets for.  Now it is up to you to make it work. Lean dense protein will not make you gain unless you are over eating. To lose you would probably need to eat between 800 to 1000 calories. To stay full on this it needs to be protein. Go to support groups and see what other people are doing to make it work

Seriously?!?  What makes you think that a sleeve, which has NO malabsorption component, would have been more effective than the RNY which has up to 2 years of partial caloric malabsorption??  You have things backwards.  Sorry, but you are NOT gaining weight (or NOT losing it) because of protein intake.

Good luck with that whole "no protein" approach.  Thousands of doctors couldn't possibly know what they are talking about, right?!?

Protein is not going to make you gain weight. If you read posts here you'll see that while our plans vary in some respects, the basic plan is generally: eat at least 60 grams of protein, less than 800 calories, and under 40 carbs. Eat protein first, then veggies, and then complex carbs. Follow that plan, logging it on MFP, and let us know what happens in a few weeks. You have to eat the right foods, in the right amounts, to succeed. It's obvious you're eating too many calories/carbs - or you'd be losing weight, even if you did not have wls - unless there is a non-wls medical issue Hope you work things out.

Ummm - if you did not lose with the RNY - then you will not lose with the "Sleeve".  The sleeve is simply calories in, calories out  as normal.  No malabsorption which you had with the RNY and should have helped you lose more.  Not everyone who has the sleeve has their hunger dulled or removed and the hunger sensation increases with time for some.  The Sleeve is not the ultimate solution for you.  If you were completely truthful with yourself and claimed your situation and needed more help with an excellent surgery, I would say go for the DS. That is not a WLS for the oblivious type.  You are so young - make your RNY work - YOU WORK YOUR RNY.

If you do not own your situation, you can't change it.  You state that you are eating perfectly and exercising and it is all your surgeons fault because he performed the RNY on you and all of his patients remain fat unlike the other surgeons in the practice.  Also Protein makes you fat and your body has fat storage.  Unfortunately I see no place for you to go with this type of fixed thinking.  Until you change your mind, no revision surgery will work for you.  At 25, you can have the whole world ahead of you.  I'd get busy on my mind first.  Take tight inventory on every single thing you put in your mouth and exercise like your life depended on it because it does.  What do you want out of this life?

All the very best to you.

Thank you sweety. I know I'm young and might not understand this whole thing yet but all my life I was brought up to believe that you can never have enough fruits and vegetables. I've ate plenty and stayed away from all junk foods. I just want some inside input on what foods I should stick to? And just a proper explanation as to what is wrong with eating fruits after surgery? I'm truthful when I say that eating protein does not agree with me. Before surgery, I've are lots of protein than I had anything else. I gained lots of weight from that alone. Never ate a fruit or veggie before surgery. I come from a big family that's very huge. I just started breaking into eating fruits after having roux en y 3 years ago. I exercise plenty but weight just doesn't seem to move. If revision won't help me, I just want to know what foods to eat and enjoy and what to stay away from. Please don't mention protein as I said earlier, me and protein don't agree and can't lose weight from it. The only protein I can eat is solid white tuna and chicken breast in oven which is very rarely that I eat. Please kind words only ppl. I'm very emotional and know I'm to blame for my actions. I'm just really sensitive an would like some insight. Thank you :-)

First off, calling people "sweetie" and "honey" is extraordinarily rude.

Secondly, a revision is a useless option for someone *****fuses to follow plan by putting protein forward.

The doctor who did the endoscopy and advised there's nothing further he can do is correct and admirable.

Finally, I think I may hear a billy goat crossing the bridge.

K.W. I really don't need your feedback and hit reply on your message by accident. I was responding to Zee Starrlite.  Your cruel and heartless. I don't need your input. Now go bother someone else as we are all here to get support and feedback on how to deal with weight loss surgery.
