There's a BBW community? Wow! Who knew? Coulda used them in my life.

But don't let friends, family, acquaintances, anyone make you feel guilty about the choices you make for your body. You don't have to explain yourself, unless you choose to. There are other communities, like this one, who would applaud your decision to have weight-loss surgery, if that's what you choose.

Back in the early-mid 2000's ( and probably earlier )  there were lots of chat rooms and web sites geared toward BBWS. Groups used to hold dances...there were even some cruises, I think...and a Las Vegas bash every year. I think some of that has gone by the wayside now. ( I'm no longer an active member of the community, and hadn't been for quite a while.-even before my surgery.)  I actually met my 3 best friends at a cookout geared towards local plus sized women. ( The hostess turned into my very bestest buddy for life. ) There were a bunch of people there, all plus sized women and men who appreciated ladies of the fluffy persuasion. Eight years later, I'm still friends with the women I met there. ( None of the men there were anything to write home about, but I met some seriously awesome friends there! )

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Wow. That's amazing. Seems like a good idea to create a community like that, because it's tough being a big girl. sounds like you had a great experience.

They called you a sell out?, that's pretty fuc'd up of them. They're just being negative & judgmental which seems kinda ironic since they don't want people to do that to them. You might just have to walk away from them. If they can't understand that you're doing this for your health, then let them go.

No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another. T-Rebel

I would re-think the word friend, because friends want to see your happy, healthy and feeling good about yourself.  Anyone who doesn't isn't your friend.  Never dealt with anything like this.  No one really remembers me as MO anymore, I am ten years out.
