Thanks for the replies and the support! You guys rock!
It's been extremely helpful that I've gotten so much support from everyone on this site! Thank you all very much! Even when I need to just complain or rant, everyone comes together! Nothing will get me down or sway my choice! I'm doing it for myself and shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone! Thank you all for saying the right things. Even if I don't have the support I'd like from people in my life around me, I know I can post on here and someone will be there for me! You guys rock!
I've dealt with similar from people who are in the HAES community. People are just so judgmental of others - whether it's fat people talking about "skinny *****es" or thin people talking about "lazy fat people." I just want to tell people "really, I get that you're happy and you should be, but I'm not, so I'm doing something about it." :/

Some people just don't get it! Thanks for the reply. I'm glad that I'm not alone in this, although I'm sad you had to deal with that negativity. I'm gonna stay strong through this even if I don't get the support I'd like from the people around me. They can't break me or change my mind. I guess I just wanted to complain about it real quick cause they make me so mad.

If people REALLY want to know your reasons for surgery, you clearly stated them here ---and should do so to them.
Perhaps some of your BBW community members are threatened or risk losing you from their group if you no longer are big (I am sure you will still be beautiful and a woman).
Honestly, you don't need to justify yourself or your surgery to anyone -- you have your reasons, and they are valid.
You are an adult -- you may need to face the loss of some of your friends to this decision.
This is about your health not about being beautiful. I didn't hate my life before, and had good friends etc. but I knew this wasn't good. I also knew I had become complacent and there were things I wasn't doing. If you are not as pretty... oh well, how shallow. You will look different, you will redefine your beauty. How did the appointment go with the surgeon?

For MANY years, I was an active member of web sites geared towards plus sized women and their "admirers". Some of the women on those sites were the meanest creatures in existance. You know how a lot of men think all BBWS are sweet and kind?? Hah! Not!! ( I was always a grumpy *****haha. )
I think you should curtail your activity in the community. It's going to be counter-productive to what you are trying to achieve and you certainly don't need the negativity you are receiving. Thin women are seen as "the enemy" within the bbw community; they always have been, always will be. Anyone who has been active in the bbw community knows I'm not telling stories.
Bottom line, this is YOUR life...not theirs. Leave them to their miserable little lives.
I wish you much success!!
