Hernia Talk (Again)

I have to make a decision on "which surgeon" to do my Hernia surgery..The Surgeon that did my RNy or a surgeon that Only performs The Sleeve Weight Loss Surgery, which I have already had a consult with and he has agreed to do it.. Which would you chose? I have been reading it is better to have the same surgeon that did your Rny weight loss surgery..Because he knows what has already been done. Since Hernia surgery is near the Intestines I feel he must have lots of knowledge of just that, Your Intestines.

Can you convince me it would be ok Either one? or is One Better than the Other? I have to also think about my heart condition in this case. I did pass the Heart Stress Test. Still not feeling totally comfortable and Safe. I am managing my episodes much better. I am just waiting for the right moment that I feel totally safe to proceed with it. I have also thought about if I prolong it , it may not be a good idea either.. Please who ever has had Hernia Surgery post op share with me your thoughts on this. Thanks..Wendy

I would go to my original surgeon but.. my original surgeon is awesome, answers all my questions, and takes plenty of time with my at my appointments.

I would  go with the surgeon who has preformed the most hernia repair surgeries.  It doesn't have to be a WLS doctor.  My hernias were repaired by the general surgeon at my local hospital.  Hernia surgeries are not difficult surgeries.  Pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

Is there a reason you didn't go back to your original Weight Loss Surgeon to start with?
