Hi everybody, it has been 13 months since my wls and i have lost 110 pounds,  just wondering is there any certain shapewear to buy to help with excess skin, and where to buy it?  how about plastic surgery is it covered by ohip and how long do you have to wait after you have lost your weight?

I have no idea about OHIP but I got some "Assets" shape wear from Target .... They are made by the same company that makes Spanx, much cheaper.

Plastics is the only thing that will really change skin and it is rarely covered by anything. There are lots of shareware products to conceal the excess skin

I don't know what your specific insurance covers, but in general insurance usually only covers a panniculectomy which is where they remove the large apron of hanging skin below your belly button (and they only cover that if it's causing medical problems like severe rashes (and sometimes it also has to be a certain size to qualify)).

As far as removal of excess skin above the waist or on your arms/butt/thighs/etc., or to get a breast lift, you will likely have to pay for that out-of-pocket.
