tall bed post op

I'm short, my bed is tall. It just occurred to me last night when I was jumping into bed, well just shy of a jump, that I might have problems when I get home this weekend.

Ideas?

Mine is too.  My husband put a stool next to it for me.

People have more problems if it's very low. It's hard to get out of a low bed, hard to get into a tall one.

Maybe a step stool?, the kind that's just 1 step without that rail thing. I use it whenever I just need a little height, mostly to get to the top of my kitchen cabinets.

I had the same issue. I kept a stool next to the bed.

I absolutely use a step stool when visiting my parents. Just take your time using it and make sure you get a sturdy one.

I had a small - 3'x4' platform made when my knees were replaced.  Since you are short in comparison to your bed anyway, this is a great, stable option for you and very easy/cheap to build.

A stool may be a good option after a few days. When I came home I had to sleep in the recliner for a few days but after that didn't have any trouble getting in and out of bed.

Yes, it may be a problem.  A step to help you up might help, but many just sleep in a recliner for a week or so before they're able to get up into bed comfortably.
