Question about coffee?
so before surgery i never drank coffee. Being i quit soda i began drinking coffee each morning as my nut. Says a warm beverage in the morn is best. I use sweetener and sugar free creamer as well. This is the question. I have heard some people say that oh they were drinking so much coffee and creamer they were ruining their calorie intake etc with it. I drink two cups each morning but I am finding that I am liking coffee much more. Sometimes in the evening I want to have just one cup. Sometimes i do sometimes not i just don't know if coffee or creamer I suppose is the actual problem is a slippery slope I'm on?.? Any input from veteran coffee drinkers is appreciated lol.
I am one cupper maybe two and not every day... but I know there are people i my support group who drink it constantly. I don't count calories. Only protein and water. That being said if you get to the point where you are not losing...it might be one of the things to look at.

I drink A LOT of coffee... I generally count it as a snack (those splashes of soymilk in my case add up, nice amount of protein though too) it's the fully leaded stuff too. I don't have any issues from it YMMV. I actually think it helps me not snack because you know drinking and eating thing comes into play and by the time I could eat I don't feel like it anymore or its almost a meal time :)
Thank you both, I have already rached my goal weight and have been about the same weight going on about 2 mo now maybe? I am happy with where I'm at and my eating choices, just the hot coffee for one I'm finding all the coffee flavored are fabulous but it seems to really cooperate with my stomach! Helps me relax. Eggface: I'm sure that's right drinking a cup of coffee with a little creamer is better than eating something! Thanks
It shouldn't be a problem as long as you're using sweeteners & sf creamers, it's the regular creamers that has all the sugar & calories.
I just recently ordered that Keurig coffee maker online since I only want 1 maybe 2 cups for the day. I use Nestle original creamer, it's not sugar free but it's only 20 calories for 1 tbsp & 2 carbs, much less than the other ones out there. Most times however I drink the Chike protein coffee, tastes really good & gives me a good amt of protein to start the day.

I've mostly seen it online, I buy mine from Amazon. It's like a latte but you drink it cold. I've never tried to heat it up, I don't think you can without changing the taste/texture. I use unsweeened soy milk to give it some more protein. The Chike itself has 23 grams of protein, the soy milk gives it another 8. Not a bad way to start my day!

if a person thinks they are "ruining" their calorie intake by using cream in their coffee either stop obsessing about calorie intake from using creamer, of all things, or change to low calorie creamer. or don't use creamer. the question would seem to be about coffee, though. which i believe has no calories, pretty sure
relax and enjoy coffee. with creamer or without, your choice :)
I use a little vanilla premier protein drink in my hot tea in place of creamer.. not sure how it would taste in coffee as I am not a coffee drinker, but it works well for my tea :) doesn't curdle.
