Change in eyesight...

Has anyone had a change in eyesight? I'm 9 days out (RNY) and I'm having a hard time regulating my eyesight. I wear glasses (not a very strong progressive) but I'm having a hard time using my computer and phone but not so much seeing the TV. It seems anything close up is more blurry?? Will this go away??
I am in no way knowledgeable enough to say the bypass could or couldn't be linked to this (although it seems physiologically unlikely) but it seems more likely to me hat this is something more like the effect of anaesthesia or maybe low blood sugar?
But blurred vision needs checking as it can be a symptom of something more serious and you should phone your medical team for advice.
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
This is something I was concerned about pre-op and, from my research, I found that it's most likely for people with diabetes and unregulated diabetes to experience a change in vision post-op.
That said, a few days post-op, I was reading and suddenly everything went blurry. It scared the crap out of me, but it passed within an hour and I've never had an issue since.

I've found losing weight post surgery similar to losing weight post having a baby. My eyes always changed during the postpartum period and then went back to my old normal. I think the similarities are because of the hormones trapped in the fat being released as we lose weight. I'm not sure but that seems to explain it.
It'll probably go back to normal in a few months.

it could be related to the anesthesia and will resolve itself.
I have had this type of vision problem off and on over the years, based on my diet. If I ate a high carb diet, my vision would get a bit worse, and if I ate less sugar and carbs, my prescription would improve. Since surgery, my eyeglasses prescription is actually lower than it has been at any point in the last decade.
I am not diabetic, but have had 2 different optometrists and my regular doc tell me that some people's eyes are just more sensitive to sugar fluctuations, and that if I ever did become diabetic, I would likely suffer severe vision problems.
YES! This happened to me but it was only temporary. I looked it up and discovered it was common after anesthesia.
