The Day After - Good, Bad or Ugly?

We went to the Buffett at the casino so no one would be saddled with cooking (Christmas celebration for the grandkids was last Saturday before they flew off to Texas). I spent my time cracking crab and lobsters for the people at my table.  No one noticed that I had 4 salad shrimp, 2 oz of grilled fish and a bite of sugar free cheese cake.  I call it a win.

I call it a win too and boy that sounds good, all you can eat crab.  What is so funny in the old days all you can eat crab would make my eyes roll in the back of my head.  People look at you funny when they see how little we are eating at buffets now

Glad you had a great time

I have been very strict with myself since my surgery, and I definitely indulged yesterday. But I planned for it, and didn't let it control me. Since this isn't a diet for me, I am with Kate...no guilt at all, and back to making good choice today :)

I never thought I'd say this, but I am TIRED of ribeye. We've had it for Xmas 'dinner', which we ate at 2 PM, then again for a late supper, for breakfast, and again for lunch today. And there's still some to go, so I'm looking for something different for dinner tonight. (I'm sure the ribeye will look good to me again tomorrow. *grin*)

As for the Day's eating---very good, in the sense that I ate tasty goodies all day long. Good in the sense that it was very high in protein and fat (I'm a DSer). Bad in that tomorrow I'm probably going to suffer for all the rich desserts I've eaten the past couple of days---I guess that'll be the 'ugly' part!

I had ham instead. (*grin*)

Leftover ribeye for breakfast goes very well with eggs.

had a bit of dense protein to start the day. went on a 6 mile hike in Portland, OR. Had dinner in Portland, OR and stuck with fish and a couple sips of The Dude's yummy micro beer. Sister and her husband met us for dinner---no one had to worry about cooking and how to store/use leftovers. was a lovely day all around

this is working nicely
