Only 1 week out since gastric bypass and already...
Your original post was pretty shocking, and as others are saying, just difficult to comprehend. Even the people you are choosing to be around - why is anyone offering you a hamburger (of any size) so shortly after major surgery?? You excuse that it would get wasted if you didn't eat it sounds like trouble. If this is a real issue, or if others have found a immediate turn-around difficult, a few suggestions:
Clear chicken broth is a savory to balance the sweet protein shakes.
For some time, stay away from the sabotagers. That next hamburger may really cause problems and land you in the hospital.
Start at the beginning and reeducate yourself and those around you. Reach out to your surgeon ASAP.
Best wishes,

Wow.
Since you just joined OH today and you posted a very inflammatory comment, knowing full well that it would prompt some very passionate responses about your success and your health, I can only assume that you are a TROLL. If you are not a TROLL then I wish you good luck for your WLS success. You're going to need it.
You are wrong. Unless you change your habits, you will not be a success story. Period.

Please get yourself to a therapist. You clearly did not do enough research about this surgery pre-op, so you're going to have to work really hard to get up to speed now so you don't damage yourself.

Ok everybody.... I am not a troll. I did post a straight forward and honest confessional of my post-op behavior. I'm a straight forward person, so I appreciate the responses here and amused by some. I spent 2 years with a dietician as part of my program. In that time I discovered juuuuust how deep the roots of coping with food ran and that I would have to deal with this for the rest of my life. Then I looked for a therapist that dealt specifically with eating disorders, but my insurance didn't cover it and I'm on very limited income. I did see a couple of different therapist and both fell short when it came to understanding the dynamic of food as a coping mechanism. Anyway, I'm still on the soft food diet.
