Horse Riders And Hernia Repair
I don't remember if I asked about this or not. Wondering how my riding days will be after Hernia repair? I like to lope and the other day I did a little of it. I was fine while riding. When I got home and bathed the Hernia came out again. Once again I was able to slowly pu**** back. Riding must do something to that area. After Hernia repair, is this same thing still going to happen? All that bouncing irritate the Hernia? I have heard Hernias can re occur. Has anyone had to stop riding horse after Hernia repair? Happy Holidays. Wendy

I thought your Dr. said no more horse riding.. why are you still riding?
I have a fairly large hernia, at times all it takes is a sneeze to make it bulge out. You really need to take this more seriously.
I agree. I thought you said your doc said no more riding. But you're posting about riding and having hard sex. Do you actually want to get better?

Yes I listened to the doctor and stopped riding the horse. Its too cold to ride anyway. Went to a horse Expo yesterday and watched others ride. Barrell riding, Bar Jumping.. was a fun day.
Your doctor advised you to stop riding the horse, yet you ignored his instructions. Sounds like a pattern in your life and perhaps why you have so many complications post WLS surgery.
Wendy, have you ever considered intense psycho therapy? I think you might be a great candidate to help you on your journey.

I am not perfect, and I miss riding. I wanted to know what life is like after Hernia repair.. No need for sarcasum. I am not here for game attention. I am here for educated attention. I am here just like the rest of you because I don't get detailed information from the doctors. I ask but they answer with 5 words or less. They say it will be fine to resume riding, but after watching Craig Cameron on a special on T.V.he is a pro Horseman rider and he still got injured from a horse. So if horses are unpredictable , And Hernias can re occur. Is riding horse out of my future?

I am going to try to not provoke you, but you seem to ask the same questions over and over again. It looks like you are searching for the answers you want to hear and are looking for a way out of following your doctor's recommendations.
If the doctor tells you not to ride... then don't ride. If he says it's O.K. to ride and you don't fully understand what he is saying, that's on you. You are the person who needs to be asking your doctor questions if you don't understand his instruction. He can't read your mind. He assumes you understand if you don't ask questions. I've read post after post from you where you blame the doctor for not giving you enough information. I would not leave my doctor's office until I fully understood the diagnosis or prognosis. You keep asking those questions here on OH when you should be asking your doctor. We are not healthcare professionals and we don't know your complete medical history.
I have had two hernia repairs and they are no big deal. There is always a chance for new hernias to occur if I do something stupid and put undue stress on the area. I choose to follow the recommendation of my doctor even if I will miss the activity in question. It's my health at risk if I don't.
You need to follow your surgeon's rules... period.
Why are you asking if you're going to do what you want anyway? You don't listen to your doctors who are medical professionals, why would you listen to us?
If you want more than 5 word answers, demand them. Tell your doctors that you're feeling ignored or brushed off. If they continue to do this FIND NEW DOCTORS. There are good ones out there that will take the time you need.
I am not here because I don't get detailed information from my doctors - I am here because I like to talk with people who share similar experiences. When it comes to medical stuff, though, I have a great team of medical professionals from my mental therapist to my PCP to my surgeon to my allergist, etc, etc.
