Should they Stay or Should They Go?

Ok....

Got all my old clothes in bags in the bedroom floor.

I bought cheap Wal-Mart pants until I reach my goal weight (I'm 29 pounds away) but I have bought a few XL button-down Polos off of eBay that fit now!

So... my question is, should the 4XL shirts and size 50 pants go in the attic or Good Will?

Goodwill (or some other charity... Goodwill sells their items to make a profit whereas some others give them away).

You might want to keep one or two pieces of your "highest weight" wardrobe, though, so you can visibly SEE where you came from. It can be a great psychological boost!

As soon as things start to get even a little baggy, I donate them.  I will never need these clothes again and, if some horrible thing happens and I do, it's not like they'll still be in style anyway.  So I vote - donate everything.

Yeah but I'm a guy. Long sleeve button-downs and khakis are about as stylish as I get.

I sold a lot of mine like $2. each piece. Advertised on our local craigslist.Made about $50. in sales. If I didn't need money I would have donated them also. Used the money to buy new clothes.

If cost is an issue, you may want to see if there is a co-op near you. There are several near me that have something like a clothing bank (and other stuff too). I took most of my clothes there since people that need stuff can get it free.

I donated my clothes.  With the exception of saving a pair of pants and a shirt, get the rest of them outa there.

I live in the country so I have plans to burn a 3 x shirt (non-donateable  some old tshirt with stains or something.)  I will shed no tears watching it burn and the rest will go to Goodwill.  Kinda like burning the fat bridge as the weight and clothing sizes decrease. For me this will be the first time in my life I have confidence that once I am out of 3x I will never be in it again!  Woo Whoo!

Save one pair of jeans or slacks and one shirt so you can have that awesome before/after photo.. then donate the rest :)
